Take a look into my life as I live the wonderful, difficult, rewarding, never-ending, happy, sad and amazing life as a military-wife, former college instructor, mother of three insanely wonderful children, two of the fattest cats you will ever see in your life, one tiny kitten named Oreo, and a career that is constantly getting derailed.

Car crash in my driveway...
I had a pretty good day. I got up around noon (I was up until 3 a.m. with insomnia), I scrubbed the mailbox with copper cleaner (it's beginning to corrode) then went shopping for alittle while (no I didn't buy anything). But, tonight I decided to go over to Mama's house...so Luci and I jumped in the car and went backwards down the driveway. I totally forgot about Tony's car. I hit it in the passenger side. It's crushed in and so is my back bumper. So upsetting. I thought I was totally going to cry but Tony didn't get mad at all, so I calmed down. I already filed the claim with State Farm, so hopefully it will not take too long to get fixed. I am also hoping that I have to get a new paint job so I can get sparkle paint! Yay!!

New Project Ideas
So I totally need another job. I have all this stuff I want to buy. I went to Coach today and fell in love with this sparkly purse and there was all these clothes I wanted at American Eagle. I also need a dress for the Seabee Ball. I am thinking about looking at BCBG for a dress instead of getting such a "prom" looking dress. I don't know.
Tony has been working on his room all day. He finally got the closet done and the new shelves put up. Next he is painting all the trim blue. It should be interesting...LOL
We have been coming up with some new projects to do around the house. We threw around the idea of installing a fireplace but Tony decided against it. Then, he came up with having a bay window put in where the window is in the living room. That would open up the place and bring some light in. It's something to think about.

My tummy hurts...
Today did not turn out like I thought it would. I thought it would be full of fun and shopping with my little mini me, but that didn't happen. I got up and made it to Dr. Douglas' office for my sleep study results. Doc said that I do not have narcolepsy (yay) but I do have excessive sleepiness. So, I got some meds for the morning time that will help me get some more energy. I also have to go to bed by 10:30 at night so my body can get more REM sleep. I was going to start that routine today but after my appointment, my stomach started hurting. I went ahead over to the hospital to pick up some stuff from Brenda and eat lunch with Wendy. By noon, I was feeling so bad, I came straight home and got into the bed. I got up to get Keaton off the bus and then got back into the bed. I didn't wake up until 7pm! I guess I really didn't feel good. I actually don't feel good now, so I'm going back to sleep now.

Crabby Day
I had to go to the eye doctor today. Luci was all Ms. cute and everything and then suddenly she smelled like something had died. I really hate when that happens. Everyone around here is super cranky, including me. I am so tired, and apparently everyone else has their reasons for being crabby. My face still hurts. I am guessing that it is chapped from skiing because I woke up Sunday morning at the hotel and my entire face with dry and rough. It's terrible. I have gone through an entire tube of Aloette lotion. My cheeks are getting better but my chin and forehead are still pretty bad. Now I know why they make ski masks.

I should own Sonic stock.
I'm tired today. But, I did manage to gather enough energy up run to the bank to deposit my Ebates check that I received today. Super excited about that. Now I can go buy a new pair of American Eagle jeans. Yay! Oh, and I guess I'll go buy the kids a couple things at Children's Place. LOL
Luci was totally on a rampage today. She was moody and whiny and just bad. Don't you hate when you get up and your little one makes the rest of the day impossible? Well, I figured out how to cure Luci's bad attiude, well, other than shopping: SONIC! She loves a small Sprite. It totally brightens her day. I don't know why, but ever since I she got her Sonic drink she has been super happy. I wish I had a Sonic drink dispenser in my kitchen. We would all be happy campers. :-)

Adjustment Period
Today was definitely an adjustment. I had to get up and get Jaeleigh and Keaton on the bus then I crashed. I didn't wake up again until 1:30 p.m. That was about the time Tony was done watching the baby and wanted to take a nap. So, I finally got my lazy, sore butt up. After the kids got home from school, Tony, Luci and I dropped off an Ebay package at the post office and then hit up Sam's for some milk and wipes. It was funny because I told Tony we had to sell stuff on Ebay just to buy stuff for Luci. Spoiled chap. Then Tony and I treated ourselves to Chinese, which was so exciting!! We had been saving money for so long for vacation that we wouldn't eat out so I was dying for Chinese. So happy! :-)
So, once everyone went to bed tonight, I sat down to catch up on my shows on my dvr. There were three Mediums that I hadn't watched, including the Series Finale. It was so emotional. I won't write about it in case so of you haven't watched it yet, but let me warn you - you will cry! What an amazing show! I hate that it ended, but at least they gave it a proper ending.

The end of our vacation and the return to real life...
Day two of Gatlinburg was super fun but I was just extremely sore. I also have bruises all over me and can barely walk. I put my best game-face on and went back up the mountain with Tony. We first grabbed some skates and hit the ice. I was much better at ice skating this year than I was last year and this time I didn't even fall. I could tell Tony was sore too because we didn't stay but an hour or two before he said his back hurt. Then, we got on the scenic chair lift that takes you all the way to the very top of the mountain. This was huge for me because last year Tony refused to do it (he is terrified of heights). But, he smoked a couple cigarettes and then put his best game-face on and went with me up the mountain. We even got our picture taken at the very top. I need to scan that and put it online. Once we were up there, we were able to get off the lift and walk around. We took some more pictures and look at how pretty the mountains are. It was so beautiful! We headed back down the mountain and went to the hotel room to change. We ate dinner at the Hard Rock and then headed to our favorite place - Blaine's Grill and Bar. We stayed there until we had drank so much we couldn't tell time anymore and then walked back to the hotel and went to sleep. Needless to say, this morning was rough. I did not want to get up and when I did, my body is just so sore. I need a vacation from my vacation!
Gatllnburg was so amazing! I knew it would be! But, we had to come home. So, we packed up and headed home. I was so exhausted so I slept most of the way. Before I knew it, we were home. The kids were acting so crazy and the baby is so clingy and moody. I guess she is punishing us for leaving her. Ugh. I already miss the mountains.

Gatlinburg Day One
I almost forgot that I said I would write in my blog more often. I am currently in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It is by far one of my favorite places in the world...not that I have been many places in the world. But, if I had, I'm sure it would still be one of my favorites. :-) We got here yesterday after a ten-hour drive. It usually doesn't take that long but the bridge was out in Knoxville, and then we got lost, but we finally made it to our hotel around 11p.m. OMG our room is fabulous! It has a king-size bed, a balcony overlooking the creek, and a fireplace. I was going to talk Tony into booking the cheaper room - just because I hate to spend the extra money on upgrades - but the extra money is so worth it. I absolutely love the fireplace. Now, I want one in my house. Tony keeps looking at it to see if we could install one. ;-)
So, this morning we got up early, ate breakfast and headed next door to the Tram. Once we were up the mountain, I got my skis and Tony got a snowboard and up the ski lift we went. Bad idea. I probably should have tried the bunny slope first. I got off the ski lift and fell on my face. Then, I realized I couldn't even stand up! OMG I am on top of a mountain and the only way down is to ski! Fast forward two hours later and I am sitting half-way down the mountain. I got this far by sliding on my back. I finally just decided to take the skis off and walk down. I fell a couple times after that by stepping on ice. Once I fell right on my knee. Ouch. It is black. Not to mention the huge knot on my leg and all the bruises covering my body. It was rough. I felt like crying a couple times, but I didn't. I kept it in! Once I finally got back down the mountain I put my skis on and headed to the bunny slope to learn how to ski. Then, I had fun. :-) We headed back to the hotel, rested a while, got some pizza and how Tony is passed out. And, we are planning on ice skating tomorrow?!

I'm a SAHM too! :-)
So, I'm going to start writing every day in my blog because Lahni said that you can actually get paid if enough people read it. At this point, I don't think anyone reads it (anyone, anyone?) but maybe if I write more - and about interesting things - people will take notice. So, here's my version of my SAHM blog (love ya, Lahni!) - Is it just me, or are these people on My Strange Addiction total freaks? I'm all about people having their weird habits because Lord knows I have mine (dipping baked potato into ketchup is one of them, according to Tony) - but eating couch cushions....really? This chic has been eating them since she was 16 years old and she's 32 now! WTF?! WHY? Eat some chocolate or something...I have plenty, you can have some of mine. Geez. .
Lately, I have been so freaking tired. I think that may be because I haven't been eating much lately. I do not have think I am getting enough vitamins or something. I have decided to start taking my pre-natal vitamins because they do seem to help...so, I didnt get up and around to get to the store until this afternoon. Then Wendy came over so I visited with her for a while. So, I finally got to Wal-Mart around 5:30 p.m. I had to get food for Mama and the kids since we are leaving in the morning for Gatlinburg. After an hour of shopping, I got in line, the lady ahead of me had 101 coupons. I had one. My printer isn't working so that is all I had to work with but that's not the point. Not only did I have to wait for this lady to organize her coupons, etc., I had to wait for her to go to the car to get one she forgot! I mean seriously? I am holding an 18-month-old baby and you have to run to the car? Oh man, I was not happy. I am all about coupons, but I was not very happy at that particular moment.

So WoW - it's been so long since I have written and that is because it has been one hell of a holiday season. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving here with Tony cooking. Then, we decorated for Christmas and started all of our Christmas shopping. I could not stop shopping as usual and I shopped all the way until 11:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve we headed to McComb and first stopped by Papa's to drop off the presents. I took pictures of Tony and the presents in storage container on top of the car. I called it "Santa and his sleigh". From there we headed to Mary's house to see little Ms. Gabby - who is getting so big - and then to Mandie's mom's house. Mandie gave the kids some great toys and she gave me a new Hobo wallet. I almost died! I was so shocked! She's the best, best friend ever. Seriously.
Then, we made it to Hope's house for Christmas. We had a really good time there. Christmas morning was great because we got up at 5:45 a.m. which is earlier than we have gotten up in years! I did take a nap with Luci soon after that! The kids have been at Wayne's since then and me and Tony have been at home cleaning and organizing the house. He is building a new closet in the man room so I can have the closet in the bedroom. Since I've lost 50 pounds, I have been buying all these new clothes and shoes and I need more room! He's such an awesome husband! Oh, and today I got a new Coach purse! So, I'm starting the new year off right!
