Take a look into my life as I live the wonderful, difficult, rewarding, never-ending, happy, sad and amazing life as a military-wife, former college instructor, mother of three insanely wonderful children, two of the fattest cats you will ever see in your life, one tiny kitten named Oreo, and a career that is constantly getting derailed.

Seriously?
Today started off with me picking Keaton up from Head Start to take him to the base for his physical. For some reason, Head Start requires it. Whatever, right? So, we get there. He puts on the charm for his doctor (who he loves) and then we head down the hallway to the lab. Apparently, Head Start requires a blood test with said physical. I calmly tell Keaton that the doctor just needs to check his blood to make sure it is healthy. Keaton loses it. And, when I say loses it, I mean L-O-S-E-S it. I have never seen this child act so insane. It took four woman and a huge dude to hold him down. He screams "NO, NEVER!!!!!" Then finally got the blood. He then runs out of the lab, down the hall and around the corner (all while screaming his head off). Four nurses run after him and then around the other side and up the other hall. I just stood there in disbelief - and embarrassment. The doctor is able to calm him and then carries him to me. He looks at me and starts punching and slapping me! My sweet baby was beating me up! I was so horrified. I grabbed him and headed to the car. I called Tony and made him wait inside with the Head Start paperwork so the nurse could write down the blood test results. When we returned home, Keaton swore he would never act like that again - and in the same breath asked to play the video game. Seriously?? .... Needless to say he did not play the video game.
