Day two of Gatlinburg was super fun but I was just extremely sore. I also have bruises all over me and can barely walk. I put my best game-face on and went back up the mountain with Tony. We first grabbed some skates and hit the ice. I was much better at ice skating this year than I was last year and this time I didn't even fall. I could tell Tony was sore too because we didn't stay but an hour or two before he said his back hurt. Then, we got on the scenic chair lift that takes you all the way to the very top of the mountain. This was huge for me because last year Tony refused to do it (he is terrified of heights). But, he smoked a couple cigarettes and then put his best game-face on and went with me up the mountain. We even got our picture taken at the very top. I need to scan that and put it online. Once we were up there, we were able to get off the lift and walk around. We took some more pictures and look at how pretty the mountains are. It was so beautiful! We headed back down the mountain and went to the hotel room to change. We ate dinner at the Hard Rock and then headed to our favorite place - Blaine's Grill and Bar. We stayed there until we had drank so much we couldn't tell time anymore and then walked back to the hotel and went to sleep. Needless to say, this morning was rough. I did not want to get up and when I did, my body is just so sore. I need a vacation from my vacation!
Gatllnburg was so amazing! I knew it would be! But, we had to come home. So, we packed up and headed home. I was so exhausted so I slept most of the way. Before I knew it, we were home. The kids were acting so crazy and the baby is so clingy and moody. I guess she is punishing us for leaving her. Ugh. I already miss the mountains.
You know, I have never gone on a weekend away with my husband like that! I so need to!
